Featured Author: Bella (click here)

Our second featured author this year is Bella.  She is in a fourth grade and her sister, Brenen, is in third grade. You will soon see that wonderful writing runs in their family.

(You can read Brenen's story below, or you can click here)

Their mother works at a local college.  She challenged her daughters with the same writing prompt she gave her college students.  As you can see below, Bella did an excellent job explaining her life goals in her expository paper.

  4. Bella,

I am very impressed by your goals! I know that if you work hard you will achieve them. My favorite part was when you told us, "I will make these goals a reality by teaching my kids all the wisdom my parents taught me." Wow!

  14. I enjoyed reading about your goals. Is there a certain kind of doll you're working to earn?

I was very interested in the comments you made about setting goals and working hard to accomplish them. I'm reading a book called Mindset that examines the topic of achieving goals. Your observations remind me of some of the ideas I've read in my book.
